Second Motion.—With the right hand passthe sword from under the arm to the front,the end of the hilt passing down betweenthe thumb and fingers, drop the blade intothe hollow of the elbow ; at the same timedrop both hands to the sides. At the command Guard, carry the rightfoot forward six inches, weight of the bodyprincipally on the left leg, at the same timeraise the sword vertically, the right hand ashigh as the chin, and about eight inches tothe right of it, by closing the right elbow,and drop the point of the sword to the leftat an angle of about sixty degrees, in frontof, and four inches from the face, the nailsand the flat of the blade to the Carry; 2.
