Thanh Ha Pottery Village has long been famous for its pottery, bricks and tiles particularly the Ying and Yang tiles seen on roofs in Hoi An. Terracotta Park Thanh Ha near Hoi An celebrates the red clay in the region including the Cham temples nearby at My Son. This red clay and terracotta is the focus of Thanh Ha ceramics industry. Terracotta Park and Museum was designed by Nguyen Van Nguyen who left the village to study architecture. His interest in architecture is quite evident, from the terracotta reproductions of the Taj Mahal, Angkor Wat, Arch of Triumph, London Tower Bridge and the Sydney Opera House which many visitors feel is rather kitsch but is a favorite among locals.
