Batería construida originalmente en 1811 en cumplimiento de la orden de Napoleón de fortificar todo el peñón de Santoña. Era la encargada de cubrir los puntos de desembarco de la playa de Berria y de aproximación por el norte a la Puerta de Tierra. Battery originally built in 1811 in response to Napoleon's orders to fortify the whole rock of Santona. Was responsible for covering the landing points of Berria beach and the northern approach to the Puerta de Tierra.
