This Indenture, Witnesseth, That John Goedersoon, now aged fourteenyears, eight months and twenty-seven days,by and with the consent of his step-father, JohnWright, and his mother, Mary Wright, hathput himself and, by these presents, doth vol-untarily and of his own free will and accord,put himself Apprentice to Frederick Seely ofthe City of New York, Cordwainer, and afterthe manner of an Apprentice to serve from theday of the date hereof for and during, and untilthe full end and term of six years, three months. 29 Historical Sketch 31 and three days next ensuing during all whichtime the said Apprentice shall his master faith-fully serve, his secrets keep, his commandseverywhere readily obey.
