All four are older varieties which in their days were the largest to be had in the trumpet class but today they are surpassed by the others as far as size is concerned. But what they lack in size they make up in hardiness and persistence. For that reason they are unsurpassed where beds and borders are wanted that will not only give blooms for many years to come but where the number of bulbs will increase every year until the planting becomes so crowded that replanting will be necessary. They are superb for naturalizing. Emperor. This grand variety though surpassed in size by some â if the newer ones is one of the finest Daffodils in cultivation. Has a rich primrose perianth and a substantial pure yellow trumpet of large size. for bedding, naturalizing, or pot growing indoors. Exlra doublc-noscd bulbs: 3 for 45c; 12 for ; 100 for Empress. A fitting companion to Emperor and of as strong, robust growth. The fine large perianth is snow white contrast- ing well with the rich yellow trumpet which is attractively serrated and flanged at the edges. Extra double-nosed btdbs: 3 for ;c; 12 for ; 100 for $ Giant Princeps. Extra fine for naturalizing and for forcing indoors. The sulphur white perianth harmonizes well with the rich yellow trumpet. It is a most popular variety. Extra doublc-noscd bulbs: 3 for 35c; 12 for SI. 10; 100 for Golden Spur. The most popular of the golden yellow trumpets. Iree blooming and splendid for cutting.
