Hence in that portion of theirextent wht ic they are overlain by the Paluxy sands, the outcrops of theGlen Rose formation constitute prairie spots within the general areaof the Western Cross Timbers, as seen between Weatherford andMillsap, on the Texas Pacific road, and in the slopes below the escarp-ment of Comanche Peak in Hood, Erath, and Somervell of the Cowhouse, where the Paluxy sands terminate, the out-crops of the Glen Eose beds are prairie lands continuous with those ofthe Walnut clays.
