Mushroom (Pleurotus eryngii)

Pleurotus eryngii is an edible mushroom. The Pleurotus eryngii, in the province of Viterbo, is commonly called Ferlengo (Ferla mushroom) because it develops on the roots of the Ferula plant, a variant of the wild fennel that grows in fallow fields of Maremma Laziale, an area rich in natural beauty, traditions and excellent italian cuisine.
