Edison, ofNewark, in the county of Essex and State ofNew Jersey, have invented and made a newand useful Improvement in Telegraph Appa-ratus, and the following is declared to be acorrect description of the same. The object of this invention is to operate alocal circuit and one of two electro-magnetstherein from a distant station over one wireby means of pulsations of one polarity oper-ating one electro-magnet in the said local cir-cuit, and pulsations of the opposite polarityoperating the other electro-magnet in the saidlocal circuit.
