Raffles Hotel Courtyard bar and restaurant with logo and chef Singapore

Singapore - March 4, 2013: A view of the Courtyard bar and restaurant in Singapore's famed Raffles Hotel. A chef in a tall hat can be seen behind the counters of the bar / cooking area. In the background can be seen tables with canopies surrounded by guest hotel rooms and shops. Named after modern Singapore’s founder, Sir Stamford Raffles, and originally the residence of an Arab trader, Mohammed Alsagoff, the building later became part of an enterprise of colonial lodgings belonging to the well-known Sarkies Brothers. Raffles Hotel’s The Long Bar is also home to the legendary Singapore Sling, originally concocted by Ngiam Tong Boon, one of its bartenders.
