The preponderance of white went off rather better than of late. Beauties led the roses at $1 each. There were not many and the sales of fancy flowers of other varieties at fancy prices were few. The medium stock went well at $15 to $20 in all varieties, pink being at times quite scarce, while the shorts suitable for corsage bouquets went smartly at $8 to $12. There were other plants and flowers that were grown and sold. These are the most popular. Those given are the leading varieties. This description will give a pretty clear idea of the market conditions here. The rain Easter morning was a dis- appointment to those florists who do a large cemetery business and to the mak- ers of corsage bouquets. A Gk)lden Anniversary. Fifty years ago Eobert Craig estab- lished his business at Forty-ninth and Market streets. Last month, the eight- eenth day, was Mr. Craig's birthday, and saw the largest business ever done there.
