View of the European Space Agency's (ESA) Sentinel-2A satellite being prepared for launch in the cleanroom at the Guiana Space Centre, Kourou, French Guiana. Sentinel-2A (launched 23rd June 2015) is the first Sentinel-2 satellite launched as part of the ESA's Copernicus Programme - the world's largest single earth observation programme. It carries an innovative wide-swath high-resolution multispectral imager with 13 spectral bands able to give a new perspective of the Earth's land and vegetation. Photographed in June 2015.
