Penn; the Royal Engineers, under Major Pritchard; the 4th (King's Own), 33rd and 45th regiments, and the Beloochee The appearance of the troops, after such an arduous campaign, was most satisfactory. The cavalry particularly were praised for their appearance, and they rode past a number of times, at various rates of dark dress, as well as the dark faces of the Punjaubees made a fine contrast with the red coats and fair complexions of the Dragoon Guards, and in their riding and exercise they were not behind their white brethren in crowds of Abyssinians and camp followers were on the rising ground between the plain and the camp. The background is the very striking masses of bare rock, which is the peculiar feature of Senafe'. From "Illustrated London News", 1868.
