Chilotes, their economy based on the land and the sea, produce almost all they need. Besides catching fish and shellfish, locals also collect and lay out seaweed to dry along the coast of Chiloe Island. Beaches are also used for recreation. Here we see Easter Sunday cars parked on a beach by the side of the road from Ancud-Quetalmahue.
