The Montes de Málaga from Comares, a town 703 meters above sea level in Andalucia, Spain. It was founded by Greeks and Phoenicians in the seventh century BC, and became a Moorish fortress in the eighth century CE and was one of the defensive bastions of Omar ben Hafsun in his fight against the Umayyad Caliphate of Córdoba.
