This now well-known weeper, which was found wild in ^klaryland, is one of our introduc- tions. As with the common one it also has hand- some flowers, scarlet fruit and foliage in the fall, together vith a pendulous growth, which soon reaches the ground. It differs from almost all other weepers in having an upright central shoot from which pendulous side branches emerge as it grows.
