A "Queen Anne" flintlock pistol, Easterby, London circa 1740. Screw barrel with cam and smooth bore in 16 mm calibre with a cannon muzzle. Inscribed "Easterby" with London proof marks under the breech along with an "F" for "foreigner". Iron box lock with engraved leaf and vine decoration. Walnut butt with relief silver furniture. The butt cap bears a grotesque mask. There is a (blurred) coat of arms on the escutcheon surrounded by the motto "Fide et Fortitudine".
