“Shark” by Xavier Veilham in the Downtown district of Beirut. In the 60’s this bustling district filled with graceful Ottoman-style buildings was one of the chicest in the Mediterranean. Razed during the civil war, it is now being rebuilt in the vision of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, who was murdered in 2005.
