WATERS EAST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (Sept. 28, 2022) – Cmdr. Grant Bryan (left), commanding officer of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry (DDG 52), from Anchorage, Alaska, and Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) Lt. Yohan Chai discuss navigation on Barry’s bridge wing during a replenishment-at-sea with ROKN underway replenishment oiler ROKS Hwacheon (T-AOE 59) while operating Sept. 28. Barry, as part of the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group (CSG), is participating with the Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy in Maritime Counter Special Operations Exercise (MCSOFEX) to strengthen interoperability and training. The routinely conducts CSG operations in the waters around the Republic of Korea to exercise maritime maneuvers, strengthen the alliance and improve regional security.
