Corfinio(L'Aquila). church of XI-XII century.
Corfe was the capital of the Italic League. It was the first capital of Italy, a small village in the Valle Peligna, Abruzzo, a few kilometers from Sulmona, birthplace of the poet Ovid. From here, over two thousand years ago set off the revolt against Rome in the Italian League and was minted a coin with the inscription Italy [2].
