Stella Pecelj (1922-2010), Bell and Howell employee. This photograph was taken while Pecelj was working at the Bell and Howell Company during World War II. She was featured as a 'Pin-Up Girl' in a company publication, and was offered a screen test at MGM which she later turned down. The feature on her highlighted her wartime role at the motion picture manufacturer, which had been turned over to war production. Born in Yugoslavia, Pecelj emigrated with her parents to the USA aged five. After turning down the screen test offer, she married Robert W. Collett with whom she had three children. Until her retirement in 1983, she worked at Arizona State University as a secretary in both the Zoology Department and Registrar's Office.
