Nicolas Remene / Le Pictorium - Kabala Niger River water treatment plant. - 19/5/2021 - Mali / Bamako District / Bamako - The wastewater from the various filtering processes arrives in these tanks or "thickeners", where the filtering sludge is extracted, dehydrated and then dried before being stored using various processes. Some of the water thus washed of the sludge is returned directly to the river. Sludge treatment is planned for the coming years.
