MRI of Thoracic Scoliosis
This coronal (frontal) T1 weighted MRI image of the thoracic spine shows a beautiful example of a thoracic scoliosis, with the convexity to the right. This is also referred to as a thoracic dextroscoliosis. In this imaging plane you are able to see a large portion of the thoracic spinal cord (in red), which is the gray tubular structure running within the confines of the thoracic spinal canal.
