Horse-Drawn Tram, Queen Square, Wolverhampton, 1975. A photograph reproduced on a postcard by Wolverhampton Art Gallery (during Architectural Heritage Year) of an early horse-drawn tram in the era before the electrification of the tramways (around the turn of the 20th century). This tram is working the Wolverhampton Queen Square to Tettenhall route. The tram also provides an effective advertising board for the local retail trade - in this case, 'Bennion's' hats, 'Zebra' grate polish and 'Sunlight' soap on the stairs.
