The Sheffield Motorpoint Arena building was named in 2010 and changed its name to FlyDSA Arena Sheffield by Doncaster Airport in 2015
Constructed at a cost of £34 million, it was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 30 May 1991. Sheffield Arena is now the home of Steelers ice hockey team, also FlyDSA Arena (formerly Sheffield Arena, Hallam FM Arena and Motorpoint Arena Sheffield) is an arena located in Sheffield, England. It is situated near Rotherham, Sheffield City Centre, Meadowhall and the Centertainment. Opened in 1991, it is used for concerts and sporting events. Attendance for all events at the venue has totalled around 7 million since its opening. It has a maximum capacity of 13,500.[1]
