The Wales Coastal Path in North Wales. Dilapidated view of Colwyn Bay’s Victoria Pier.
The Wales Coastal Path in North Wales. Dilapidated view of Colwyn Bay’s Victoria Pier. The original Maynall and Littlewoods designed pier was officially opened in 1900. However, due to various fire related disasters, the present (2013) pier has been subject to many changes and rebuilds. The Wales Coast Path was developed in partnership with the Welsh Government, the Countryside Council for Wales, sixteen local authorities and two National Parks. Opened in May 2012, the 870 mile path (1,400 km) runs from the market town of Chepstow to the Cheshire border on the River Dee.
