Bernard Lagat and Shedrack Korir battle down the back straight, in the Emsley Carr invitational mile at the Aviva London Grand Prix. Shedrack Korir of Kenya, the 2007 IAAF World Championships bronze medallist, won the event in 3 Bernard Lagat came third in a time of Andy Baddlet of Great Britian came Lagat, originally from Kenya, is a middle and long distance champion athlete who now represents the United States. In July, 2008, Lagat won the US Olympic Trials in the 1500m and 5000m, making the Olympic team in both events.
