Yaw Shen, a Magan Chin woman with face tattoos, plays traditional nose flute, Chin State, Myanmar. The tribal Chin women had their faces tattooed when they were around 15 years old, purportedly to protect them from being carried away by marauding men, and for beautification. The practice is now banned, and they are the last of their kind.
