The two life size rag dolls that hang from the rope are known as The Dominguines, and they are suspended above Calle Coscojales in the Old Town (Parte Viaje) of Portugalate. They are raised on 1st July each year, signalling the start of the festivals in honour of the Virgen de la Guia.
