Common Silverline (Spindasis vulcanus) Lycaenidae : Blues
It has brilliant silver lines enclosed in black bordered red bands .Its reluctance to fly away also allows you to get really close to this butterfly. However its flight is extremely swift and once it takes off it is very difficult to follow its course. The Common Silverline is found in open natural vegetation and is exclusive to the Indian Subcontinent. The egg is dome-shaped and shiny green,The caterpillar lives in an untidy and loose cell. flat and green with a darker line on the back. The caterpillar pupates in a cell on the host plant itself.
