24/09/2023 Pained-faces are the order of the day as 145 players from across the UK contemplate their next moves at the inaugural Derbyshire Chess Congress 2023 at Trent College, Long Eaton. The two-day competition saw British chess grandmaster Mark Hebden - winner of the British Rapidplay Chess Championship and multiple-time Hastings International Chess Congress champion - participate in five rounds of classical chess played over two days.
