One of the most delightful features of theAcademy life during the past winter was theentertainment course which filled the Saturdayevenings. One of the largest audiences evergathered in Reid Hall greeted the ChicagoString Quartette, soloists in the Thomas Or-chestra. Among the other attractions wereSenator Gore, of Oklahoma; RepresentativeJ. Adam Bede, of Minnesota; Dr. Mac-Dowell, stereopticon lecturer; the SterlingJubilee Singers; Mr. Rice and Mr. Elliott,impersonators; the Houstons, entertainers;Mr. Easton, Labrador explorer; Mr. AldenMorse, lecturer, Beautiful Cuba; MadamFogg, soloist; and Prof. Foster, phrenologist. Music During the year a student orchestra hasbeen conducted under the leadership of The members are Mr. Birn and Tanner, violins; Carr, cornet; Stone, flute;Lammers, piano.
