InJune, 1912, he resigned, that hemight prepare plans and specifica-tions for and supervise the installa-tion of an underground fire alarmand police signal system for the city of Sacramento, his work withthe Pacific Company having attracted the attention of the municipalauthorities. He continued as Electrical Engineer for the city untillate in December, 1912, when he resigned in order to go to Portland,O
