(II) Thomas, son of John Roote, was bap-tized January 16, 1605, in Badby, Northamp-tonshire, England, and came to this countryabout 1637. He was among the first settlersof Hartford, Connecticut, where he lived forabout fifteen years, and where all his childrenwere born.
