The newly renovated main entrance (Pershing Square) to Grand Central Terminal is dedicated to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on Monday, June 30, 2014. In the 1970's Ms. Onassis spearheaded a campaign to save the historic terminal from destruction at the hands of developers. The former First Lady and iconic New Yorker led the historic campaign to save the terminal which was pivotal to the preservation of an untold number of historic buildings. (© Richard B. Levine)
