Nelsons monument above Edinburgh. This was built in honour of of Admiral Horatio tower overlooks Edinburgh from Calton Hill. Designed by Robert Burn and built between 1807 and 1815 to commemorate Nelson's victory over the French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. A castellated building designed by Thomas Bonnar which forms a base to the tower was added between 1814 and 1816.
