The limousine with wings is a Curtissmachine, of -probable tho hardly proved practicability. At any rate it was one of the most popular features of the show—particularly from the femi-nine viewpoint. The crowd that hung around the Davis non-recoil gun was rather more masculine, exceedingly interested in the possibilities of agun that will fire both ways at once. Instead of being closed at the breach end the Davis gun is left open and a charge of fine lead shot fired fromthis end, with a momentum equal to that of the projectile fired from the forward end. The chief advantage of this means of taking up the recoil is a reduction in the weight of the gun and an increased accuracy of firing principles of the Monroe Doctrine, andrisking- the displeasure of the UnitedStates.
