Family of Staff Sgt. Anissa A. Shero unveiled her plaque during a dorm memorialization ceremony at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. Staff Sgt. Shero was trained as a MC-130H Combat Talon II loadmaster with the 58th Special Operations Wing here. She served in Afghanistan and was the first female to perish in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. June 14, 2022.
