It was in the beautiful city of Keokuk, Iowa—town of the Indianchieftains name—that the Tri-State was born. It was on November 13, 1891, that a call was issued for a meeting ofphysicians, to be held in Keokuk, forthe purpose of forming asociety whosemembership should be composed of regular physicians residing in South-eastern Iowa, Northeastern Missouri, and the adjacent part of accordance with this call, a large number of physicians assembled in. Dr. Robert H. Babcock, of Chicago, ICx-President of the Tri-State Medical Society. the Estes Hall, in the city of Keokuk, on November 24, 1891. A tempo-rary organization was effected by the selection of Dr. J. R. Hollowbush,then of Warsaw, 111., hqw of Rock Island, as President pro tempore; andDr. W. H. Newlon, of Ft. Madison, Iowa, as Secretary pro tempore. Acommittee of three—Drs. James Moores Ball and J. C. Armentrout, ofKeokuk, and Dr. J. R. Hull, of Sciota, 111.—was appointed to prepare aconstitution and by-laws. Dr. R. H. Fegers, of Keokuk, then read apaper, My Views on Eczema. Dr. C. E.
