A French combined firearm and dagger, circa 1850. A double-edged blade with fullers on both sides, finely etched over its entire surface with trophy and rocaille decoration. Stamped "Breveté du" and "Dumuthiea(?)" at the base of the blade. A round pocket pistol barrel with smooth bore in 9 mm calibre on each side. The obverse side bears etched decoration with a few remnants of gilding. Iron quillons with two integrated hammers. Fluted nickel-silver grip scales with a folding trigger on the bottom.
