This wonderful new Lilac from Japan grows to a fine symmetrical tree 30 feet high, yet it blooms well when only a shrub like other Lilacs. The flowers are pure white, and borne in immense clusters often more than two feet in length. One may easily imagine the effect such gigantic clusters of bloom may have on a shrub, but when the tree has attained its full growth of 30 feet, and bears these grand compound clusters by the 100, it must be seen to be fully ap- preciated.
