The Kut is an all-female Basement Rock band from New Cross, London, represented by the independent record label Criminal Records. Its members include vocalist and lead guitarist Maha, bassist Elvira and drummer Jade. The band's debut single, "The Vision," was released in 2004 and was a bestseller at HMV's flagship London store. They released their debut EP Poisonest in 2005. Their second album, Lies My Mother Told Me, is expected in 2007.
