DHAKA, BANGLADESH - FEBRUARY 04 : Bangladeshi people made human chain and rally to make awareness about cancer making slogan "Wecan, I can" on occasion of World cancer day 2016 in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 04, 2016. According to experts, around two lakh people die of various types of cancer in the country every year due to lack of awareness and limited treatment facilities at public hospitals. Professor Dr. Moarof Hossen, a noted oncologist and director of the National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital told that some 245,000 people get attacked with cancer every year. Of them, 35,000 cancer patients never visit any physicians throughout his life. As a result, the number of deaths from various types of cancer is rising in the country day by day. “Country’s health sector is facing a growing challenge as around two lakh people die of different forms of cancer every year,” Dr Moarof said.
