Cwch John Kerr (UK) : replica of a 'Bantry Bay Gig' dating back to 1796. Week of the Morbihan Gulf (Brittany, France).

This is a replica of an 18th century admiral's barge (otherwise known as longboat or gig) that would have been used by fleets at harbour for transport between ship and shore. The gig was launched in Fishguard on Saturday 10 July 2004 by Jane Kerr. The Pembrokeshire gig bears the name "Cwch John Kerr" in respect of Jane's late husband who was responsible for the United Kingdom joining the Atlantic Challenge International.
