The Edinburgh Award A ceremony for the recipient of this year's award, Doddie Weir, who will be presented with a Loving Cup by the Lord Provost. He will be reunited with his hand-prints which have been set in a flagstone within the grounds of the City Chambers. WHEN: Friday 23 November. Media advised to arrive at 6:30pm. A brief photocall outside with Doddie with his handprints will be available before the Award Ceremony commences at 7:00pm. Further staged photo / interview opportunities of Doddie receiving the Loving Cup from the Lord Provost will be available at the end of the ceremony, at approx. 7:30pm, when interviews can be held. WHERE: Edinburgh City Chambers, 253 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1YJ. Please congregate outside. WHO: Doddie Weir, the Lord Provost Frank Ross and The Edinburgh Makar Alan Spence who will recite a poem he has written especially for the occasion.
