For typological reasons one might be inclined to con- clude that one of the two brooches found in the grave here in question was al- ready an old specimen at the time when they were buried with their possessor, but even upon this sup- position, the date of the grave cannot probably be fixed later than about the middle of the 5th cent. or shortly after that time.
