The cross-vein dot is smaller, but also black and similarly ringed with light color. Since the hind fringes are almost entirely broken off, I can not say further about the markings. To tliis list may be added nightshade (Solanum nigrum), wliich has been noted as an occasional food plant for tuber-moth larvae in Southern Cahfoniia. I.
