White clouds view, from Markgrafenstrasse, baroque architecture Jewish Museum Colliegienhaus rising Lindenstrasse, Berlin

The Jewish Museum opened in 2001 as an extension to the baroque Colliegienhaus (seen here), built in 1735 as the Prussian Court of Appeal. All but the exterior walls of this building were destroyed in World War 2. It was reconstructed in the post-war period, becoming the museum for the City of Berlin 1963-69, then the entrance to the modern-day Jewish Museum of Berlin.
