A fine pair of flintlock pistols,La Roche,Paris circa 1740. Two-stage barrels,octagonal then round after a baluster,with smooth bores in 12 mm calibre,as well as cut,reinforced muzzles,and fine floral engraving on the breeches. Cut flintlocks,each signed,"LA ROCHE PARIS". Carved walnut full stocks(small,shrinking cracks on each forearm)with silver-plat and partially gilded furniture bearing relief decoration. A monogram "LR" conjoined on the escutcheons. The butt caps fitted with grotesque mask pommels. Wooden ramrods. Beautifully preserved pair of ,Additional-Rights-Clearences-Not Available
