This church lies a short distance east ofSt. Sophia. It is very small, consistingonly of a nave of two bays, terminated by athree-sided apse. It is also put to the usesof a mosque. It has a beautiful south door,but owing to its undergoing repairs, the wholebuilding was so hidden in scaffolding that Iwas unable to photograph it to advantage. Its interior, though perfectly bare, and asusual, covered with whitewash, is one of themost beautiful specimens of Gothic architec-ture in Cyprus. The clusters of pillarsagainst the nave walls supporting the vault-ing are very graceful, and the long, narrow,two-light windows, extending to the roof, are 139 M
