Shop display of items of clothing made principally from silk in Hoi An Vietnam

Hoi An has been a centre for trading for centuries and many shop fronts and whole streets in the old town have been preserved in their original state. Shops specialise in selling items made of silk and tailors make a made-to-measure item overnight. Since UNESCO gave it World Heritage Site status the old town has been closed to cars and trucks (lorries); motorbikes are banned every month on the full moon.
